Marc Jacobs Specialty Items

I have to admit, I'm pretty excited about this....I'm not sure how I didn't know about this before (maybe because there is no Marc Jacobs store in Atlanta). If you go to the Marc Jacobs site and click on the 'specialty items' link, you'll discover a ridiculous amount of really cute merchandise at extremely low prices. Some of the products currently available are totes, tees, umbrellas, and hats. There's tons more on the site so it's definitely worth checking out. You can't however, buy the items online. You have to actually go to the store, which is a problem for me as the only MJ store in Georgia is hours away from ATL. However, for the lucky ones that are located in a city that has a store, definitely go check it out. The quality of the items of course isn't as good as actually Marc Jacobs products, but the design is absolutely up to par with the Marc Jacobs aesthetic. Just think of this as Marc Jacobs designing a line for Target or H & M. Go to http://www.marcjacobs.com/ to view more specialty items.

Great, Affordable Jewelry by Amrita Singh

Yesterday I talked about finding statement necklaces for affordable prices. Well, i've found another great place to get really amazing necklaces. Last night, I was perusing one of my favorite websites (gilt.com) and saw that they were doing an Amrita Singh sale. The selection was great but most of the products were sold out, so I decided to check out Singh's website. The necklaces on the site are a bit more expensive than the ones I featured but for what you're getting it's still a really great deal (the necklace pictured above is selling for $90). In addition to necklaces, Amrita Singh sells earrings, bracelets, rings, hair accesories, shoes and handbags. Currently, many items are discounted up to 80%, which means you can find great stuff for as little as $8, which is an unbeatable price. Go to http://www.amritasingh.com/ to shop.

The selection is pretty good and discounts range from 30-80%. As if this weren't enough excitement for one day, gilt.com is having an amazing final sale with disounts going up to over 80% off! The sale is offering product from lines like AKA New York, Doo. Ri, Marc by March Jacobs, and Helmut Lang among others. Make sure also to look out for their final jewelry and accessories sale on Saturday. Love This Coat!

Rachel McAdams was on the today show recently plugging her new movie State of Play. I've been a fan of hers ever since The Notebook which is one of my absolute favorite movies. What i'm really excited about however, is the amazing Brian Reyes coat that she's wearing in the interview. Although this coat is from Reyes' fall collection, the soft hue of this piece also makes it great for transitioning from winter to spring so you'll have something chic to wear on those cool early spring nights. Go to http://www.brianreyes.com/ to see the full collection.

Matthew Williamson Newest Guest Designer at H&M

Matthew Williamson becomes the latest designer to collaborate with H&M. I always get excited for these things as I cannot afford designers like Matthew Williamson in any other situation. From what I've seen, it looks like the collection is going to be very cute and very on-trend for spring with lots of great bright colors and fun prints. The line should be available this month in select H&M locations and by mid-may in H&M stores worldwide. Below are a few pictures of the collection. Enjoy!

On My Wish List....

So, today I tried on for the first time an Hervé Léger bandage dress (the one pictured above to be exact). I've seen pictures of course, and I've heard that these dresses were flattering, but I was still shocked. The dress really was very flattering, which is suprising since it looked like it was practically painted on. I loved it so much that I was sad to take it off. Now I guess I just have to wait until I get $1500.....

Spring Trend: Statement Pieces

I’m really into statement pieces this season, like big bold necklaces, rings, and embellished and/or colorful shoes. With one piece an outfit can go from ordinary to amazing. This is what I love about this trend. Just throw on a cool piece of oversized jewelry for instance and automatically freshen up your look. When wearing statement pieces make sure not to wear too many items at one time so as not to look overdone. Here are some of my favorite pieces from this trend:

Givenchy Lace Ankle Sandals

Tom Binns Cuff

Missoni Necklace

Marni Cuff

Christian Louboutin Dillian Pump
Guiseppe Zanotti Platform Sandals

Roberto Cavalli Ring

Balmain Crystal Studded Sandals

Bottega Veneta Broach Necklace
